Markus Pannermayr

Markus Pannermayr is a German politician serving as the Lord Mayor of the city of Straubing in Bavaria. A member of the Christian Social Union (CSU), he has held this office since 2008, having previously served as a city councilor and third mayor. Beyond his municipal duties, he has been active in state-level local government advocacy, including his role as the chairman of the Bavarian Association of Cities. Before entering full-time politics, he worked as a teacher of biology and chemistry.
