Markus Zwick is a German politician who has served as the Lord Mayor (Oberbürgermeister) of Pirmasens since 2019. Born in Speyer in 1977, he studied law at Saarland University before beginning his career in the Pirmasens municipal administration in 2003. Over the following years, he held various leadership roles within the city government, including head of the youth and social services department. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he was elected mayor in 2018 and assumed the office of Lord Mayor in May 2019.
