Marnie McBean is a Canadian politician and former elite rower who has served as a member of the Senate of Canada since 2023. Before entering public office, she achieved international acclaim as a three-time Olympic gold medallist, representing Canada in multiple Summer Games. Beyond her athletic career, she has been recognized for her contributions to sports leadership, including serving as chef de mission for the Canadian Olympic team, and for her advocacy regarding sexual diversity.
