Martin Bäumle

Martin Bäumle is a Swiss scientist and politician who has served as a member of the Swiss National Council since 2003. Born in 1964 in Thalwil, he studied chemistry at ETH Zurich and holds a diploma in atmospheric science. A prominent figure in Swiss environmental politics, he was originally a member of the Green Party before founding the Green Liberal Party in the Canton of Zürich in 2004 and the national party in 2007. He served as the national party's first president for a decade until 2017.
