Martin Günthner is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Bremerhaven. A long-standing member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he previously served as a Senator for Economics, Labor, and Ports, as well as Senator for Justice and Constitution in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen from 2010 to 2019. Throughout his career, he has held various roles in the Bremische Bürgerschaft and municipal government, including serving as a city councilor for social affairs and labor. He assumed the office of Lord Mayor of Bremerhaven in 2026.
