Martin Heydon is an Irish politician serving as the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine since January 2025. A member of the Fine Gael party, he has represented the Kildare South constituency as a Teachta Dála (TD) since 2011. Before his current cabinet appointment, he served as Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine from 2020 to 2025 and as Chair of the Fine Gael parliamentary party. A farmer by background, Heydon began his political career on the Kildare County Council in 2009.
