Martin Horn

Martin Horn is a German politician serving as the Lord Mayor of Freiburg im Breisgau since 2018. Born in 1984, he holds degrees in International Social Work and European and World Politics. Before his election, he worked as a European and development coordinator in Sindelfingen and as a lecturer. As an independent politician, Horn has focused his administration on expanding affordable housing, advancing municipal digitalization, and promoting climate protection measures, including the city's goal to become climate-neutral by 2035. He was re-elected for a second term in 2026.
