Martin McCluskey is a Scottish Labour Party politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Inverclyde and Renfrewshire West since the 2024 general election. Born and raised in Greenock, he previously served as a councillor for Inverclyde Council, where he was the first openly gay councillor in the area. Following his election to Parliament, he was appointed as an Assistant Whip in July 2024 and subsequently promoted to Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Energy Consumers in September 2025. He is also an active member of the Fabian Society's executive committee.
