Martina Schweinsburg

Martina Schweinsburg is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Thuringia, elected via direct mandate in 2024. Previously, she served as the long-standing District Administrator (Landrätin) of the Greiz district from 1994 to 2024, making her the longest-serving district administrator in Thuringia at the time of her departure. A member of the CDU, she has been a prominent and often controversial voice in local and state politics, known for her critical stance on administrative reforms and her pragmatic approach toward cooperation with other political parties. She also served as the president of the Thuringian District Association (Thüringer Landkreistag) for over a decade.
