Fernando J. "Marty" Martinez is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates for the 29th district, a position he has held since 2024. Before his election to the state legislature, he served on the Leesburg City Council from 2002 to 2023, including a term as vice-mayor. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired government contractor, Martinez has focused his legislative efforts on animal welfare, notably sponsoring successful legislation to ban the declawing of cats in Virginia.
