Maryka Groenewald

Maryka Groenewald is an Australian politician and the leader of the Australian Christians party. She made history in the 2025 Western Australian state election by becoming the first member of her party to be elected to a state parliament, securing a seat in the Western Australian Legislative Council. Prior to her successful election, she served as the WA State Director for the Australian Christians and was a candidate in multiple state and federal elections between 2016 and 2021. Politically, Groenewald is known for her conservative stance, including her vocal opposition to gender-affirming care for minors.
