斎藤真朗

Masaaki Saito is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sagae, Yamagata Prefecture. Born in Kaminoyama, he graduated from Niigata University with a degree in law in 1989 and subsequently served as a long-term official for the Yamagata Prefectural Government, holding various administrative roles including positions in the Shonai General Subprefecture and the Environment and Energy Department. He served as the Deputy Mayor of Sagae from 2023 to 2024 before being elected as mayor in December 2024. His political platform focuses on enhancing child-rearing environments, improving public safety and convenience, fostering local economic value, and promoting sustainable community development.
