Masahiro Sotoma is a Japanese politician currently serving as the 70th Speaker of the Nagasaki Prefectural Assembly. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he was first elected to the assembly in 2003 and is currently serving his fifth term. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles within the party's prefectural chapter, including Secretary-General and Policy Research Council Chairman. Sotoma advocates for a society based on individual responsibility and community-led development, emphasizing the importance of leadership in maintaining democratic strength. Before entering politics, he worked as a secretary for members of the House of Representatives and held executive positions in the private sector.
