大森雅夫

Masao Omori is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as the Mayor of Okayama. Born in 1954, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and spent his early career in the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. He was first elected as Mayor of Okayama in 2013 and has since secured four consecutive terms. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on urban development, tourism promotion, and administrative reform. In 2020, he introduced a partnership oath system for same-sex couples in Okayama, reflecting his policy focus on social inclusivity.
