浅見宣義

Nobuyoshi Asami is a Japanese politician and the current Mayor of Nagahama City in Shiga Prefecture. Born in 1959 in the former Kōhoku Town, he graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law. Before entering politics, he served as a judge for over three decades, working in various courts across Japan and completing a secondment at the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan. He retired from his position as a judge at the Osaka High Court in 2021 and was first elected Mayor of Nagahama in 2022, subsequently winning re-election in 2026. As mayor, he has focused on administrative reforms, including the implementation of stricter disciplinary measures for municipal staff regarding clerical errors.
