Dai Takahashi is a Japanese politician currently serving his fourth term as the Mayor of Yokote City in Akita Prefecture. Born in 1976, he began his political career as a member of the Jumonji Town Council before being elected to the Yokote City Council following the city's municipal merger. In 2013, he was first elected mayor at the age of 37, becoming the youngest municipal leader in the prefecture at the time. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on regional revitalization, notably spearheading the renewal of the Yokote City Masuda Manga Museum to promote the city as a destination for manga culture. He has successfully defended his position in multiple re-election campaigns, most recently securing a fourth term in 2025.
