川本雅之

Masayuki Kawamoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Seto in Aichi Prefecture. Born in Seto, he graduated from Tokyo Polytechnic University and initially worked for a planning and production company before entering politics. He served as a member of the Seto City Council for five terms over twenty years, starting in 1995. After unsuccessful bids for the mayoral office in 2015 and 2019, he was elected as the Mayor of Seto in 2023, defeating the incumbent-backed candidate.
