Mathias Middelberg

Mathias Middelberg is a German lawyer and politician who has served as a member of the Bundestag since 2009, representing the state of Lower Saxony. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he has held several key parliamentary roles, including serving as a deputy chair of his parliamentary group since 2021. Throughout his career, Middelberg has focused on financial and home affairs policy, notably leading negotiations for the 100 billion euro defense fund in 2022. He is also active in various boards of trustees, including the German Federal Environmental Foundation.
