Mats Gerdau

Mats Gerdau is a Swedish politician representing the Moderate Party who has served as the Mayor of Nacka Municipality since 2013. Prior to his current role, he was a member of the Swedish Riksdag from 2006 to 2012, where he served on the Committee on Education and the Committee on Social Affairs. Educated in biology at Stockholm University and journalism at Poppius Journalistskola, Gerdau has also contributed to various national parliamentary committees and inquiries regarding democracy and the Swedish education system. He is known for his focus on urban development and elderly policy within the Stockholm metropolitan area.
