Matt Cowdrey

Matthew John Cowdrey is an Australian politician and former Paralympic swimmer. Before entering politics, he was one of Australia's most successful Paralympians, winning thirteen gold medals and twenty-three medals in total across multiple Paralympic Games. He holds a double degree in law and media from the University of Adelaide and previously worked as a management consultant. Elected to the South Australian House of Assembly for the seat of Colton in 2018, he has served as the Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Sport. He has announced he will not recontest his seat in the 2026 state election.
