Matt Rodda is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Reading Central since 2024, having previously represented Reading East from 2017 to 2024. Before entering Parliament, he worked as a journalist for the Coventry Telegraph and The Independent, and later served as a civil servant in the Department for Education and within the charity sector. A survivor of the 1999 Ladbroke Grove rail crash, Rodda has held several frontbench roles in the Shadow Cabinet, including Shadow Minister for Local Transport, Buses, Pensions, and AI and Intellectual Property.
