Matthias Herzog is a German politician and entrepreneur who has served as a member of the Landtag of Thuringia since 2024. A member of the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW), he also holds the position of deputy state chairman for the party in Thuringia. Before entering politics, Herzog worked as a tiler and project manager in the natural stone industry, and he has been the managing director of the basketball club Basketball Löwen Erfurt since 2020. He was elected to the state parliament in the 2024 Thuringian state election.
