Maureen Burke is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Glasgow North East since 2024. Before entering national politics, she worked in manufacturing and later served as a Glasgow City Councillor for the North East ward from 2012 until 2024, where she chaired the Operational Performance and Delivery Scrutiny Committee. In Parliament, she has taken an active role in legislative scrutiny, including chairing the All Party Parliamentary Group on Grief Support and joining a 2025 rebellion against government welfare reforms.
