Maurizio Gasparri

Maurizio Gasparri is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Republic. A long-standing figure in Italian center-right politics, he previously served as Minister of Communications from 2001 to 2005 and as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles, including group leader for Forza Italia in the Senate and Vice President of the Senate. Gasparri began his political career in the 1970s with the Italian Social Movement and has been a consistent advocate for conservative policies, notably authoring the 'Gasparri Law' regarding the Italian television system.
