Max Wise is an American politician and educator serving as a member of the Kentucky Senate since 2015, where he represents the 16th district. He assumed the role of Senate majority leader in January 2025. Prior to his political career, Wise served as an FBI agent in the Counterterrorism Division and taught political science at Campbellsville University. In 2023, he was the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor of Kentucky as the running mate of Kelly Craft. He holds degrees from Campbellsville University and the University of Kentucky.
