A member of the Koyukon Athabascan people, she was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. Before entering politics, Dibert spent 21 years as a teacher at Denali Elementary School and worked as a science curriculum designer. She was elected to the state legislature in November 2022 and assumed office in January 2023, where she focuses on education and community development.
