Maya Ellis is a British politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Ribble Valley since 2024. A member of the Labour Party, she achieved a historic victory in the 2024 General Election, becoming the first Labour MP for the constituency. Before entering national politics, Ellis held roles in local government, including positions at Salford City Council and as an Innovation and Digital Lead at Lancashire County Council. She also served as a parish councillor for Ribchester Parish Council. Educated at Lancaster University and the University of Central Lancashire, she has a background in media and journalism.
