Mehmet Aşıla is a Turkish politician currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey representing Kocaeli. Born in Çorum in 1961, he graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Anadolu University and previously worked in the soil industry sector. Throughout his political career, he has held various roles within the Welfare Party, Virtue Party, and Saadet Party, including serving as a municipal council member in Çorum. A founding member of the New Welfare Party, he served as its provincial head in Çorum and as a Deputy Chairman before his election to parliament in 2023, where he also serves on the State Economic Enterprises Commission.
