Mehmet Selim Ensarioğlu is a Turkish politician currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Born in 1955 in Dicle, he has had a long political career, previously serving as a Member of Parliament for Diyarbakır during the 19th, 20th, and 21st terms, and holding the position of Minister of State in the 51st, 52nd, and 54th governments. Throughout his career, he has been associated with various political movements, including the Democratic Party and the IYI Party, before joining the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in February 2025. He is known for his historical opposition to state-mandated population control policies during his ministerial tenure.
