Melhem Khalaf is a Lebanese lawyer, politician, and human rights activist serving as a Member of the Lebanese Parliament for the Beirut II district since May 2022, aligned with the Forces of Change bloc. Born in Ras Beirut, he studied law at Saint Joseph University of Beirut and obtained his doctorate from the University of Montpellier in France. A professor of law and former president of the Beirut Bar Association between 2019 and 2021, he is also known for founding the non-governmental organization Offrejoie during the Lebanese Civil War and his extensive advocacy for judicial independence and political reform.
