Melissa Garff Ballard

Melissa Garff Ballard is an American politician and music educator serving as a member of the Utah House of Representatives for the 20th district since 2019. A graduate of the University of Utah with degrees in piano performance, she previously managed a professional piano studio for over two decades and served as the founding chair of the University of Utah School of Music Advisory Board. In the legislature, Ballard focuses on education reform, government efficiency, criminal justice, and conservative energy policy, including the sponsorship of legislation to incentivize hydrogen vehicle adoption. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and resides in North Salt Lake.
