Melissa McMahon

Melissa McMahon is an Australian politician who has served as the Labor member for Macalister in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2017. Prior to her parliamentary career, she served as a major in the Australian Army, with deployments to Timor-Leste, and as a senior sergeant in the Queensland Police Service. She holds bachelor's degrees in behavioural science, policing, and secondary education. In addition to her legislative duties, she serves on the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee and the Legal Affairs and Community Safety Committee.
