Melissa Romano

Melissa Romano is an American politician and educator currently serving as a member of the Montana House of Representatives for the 81st district. Born in Spokane, Washington, and raised in Helena, Montana, she has dedicated much of her career to public education, working as an elementary math teacher in the Helena Public School District since 2004. Before her election to the state legislature in 2022, she was the Democratic nominee for Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2016 and 2020. Romano holds degrees from Northwest College and the University of Bridgeport, and she continues to focus on educational policy and community advocacy in her legislative role.
