Ömer Bolat

Ömer Bolat is a Turkish politician and academic who has served as the Minister of Trade of Turkey since 2023. Before his appointment to the cabinet, he held significant roles in the private sector, including a 23-year tenure as General Coordinator of the Albayrak Group and leadership positions within the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MUSİAD). An expert in international economics, Bolat has also maintained an extensive academic career, teaching at Istanbul Commerce University. He has been an active member of the Justice and Development Party, serving on its Central Decision and Administrative Committee.
