Mercedes de Mendieta

Mercedes de Mendieta is an Argentine politician, feminist activist, and teacher who serves as a National Deputy representing the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. A member of the Socialist Left and the Workers' Left Front – Unit (FIT-U), she previously served as a member of the Buenos Aires City Legislature across multiple terms. She has been a prominent figure in the green wave movement advocating for abortion rights in Argentina and has focused her legislative work on public education infrastructure, public transportation reform, and workers' rights.
