Micah Beckwith

Micah Beckwith is an American politician and pastor serving as the 53rd Lieutenant Governor of Indiana since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served on the Hamilton East Public Library board of trustees, where he gained national attention for his efforts to restrict access to certain materials in the young adult section. Beckwith identifies as a Christian nationalist and has been a vocal advocate for school choice, medical cannabis legalization, and conservative social policies. His tenure has been marked by controversial public statements regarding historical figures, immigration, and religious groups, as well as an investigation into his office regarding allegations of ghost employment.
