Michael Brooks-Jimenez is an American lawyer and politician currently serving as a member of the Oklahoma Senate, representing the 44th district. Elected in a 2017 special election, he became the first Latino member of the Oklahoma Senate. A member of the Democratic Party, he serves as the Minority Caucus Chair and has been a vocal advocate for immigration rights and education reform. Before his legislative career, he established a law firm specializing in immigration and criminal defense. He is also the founder of the Oklahoma Latino Legislative Caucus.
