Michael Grade

Michael Grade, Baron Grade of Yarmouth, is a British television executive, businessman, and non-affiliated member of the House of Lords. Born in 1943, he has held prominent leadership roles in the UK media industry, including controller of BBC1, chief executive of Channel 4, chairman of the BBC Board of Governors, and executive chairman of ITV plc. He was appointed as a life peer in 2011 and served as a Conservative peer before transitioning to a non-affiliated status following his appointment as chair of Ofcom in 2022.
