Michael Künzle is a Swiss politician who served as the Mayor of Winterthur from 2012 to 2026. A member of The Centre (formerly the Christian Democratic People's Party), he previously served on the Winterthur city council starting in 2005. Throughout his tenure, Künzle focused on economic development, fiscal responsibility, and security policy. Before his political career, he worked as a lawyer and public prosecutor. He did not seek re-election in the 2026 municipal elections.
