Michael Kaufmann

Michael Kaufmann is a German politician representing the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. He has served as a Member of the German Bundestag since 2021, representing the constituency of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt – Saale-Holzland-Kreis – Saale-Orla-Kreis. Prior to his federal service, he was a member of the Landtag of Thuringia starting in 2019, where he notably served as vice president of the state parliament beginning in March 2020. Kaufmann secured re-election to the Bundestag in the 2025 federal election by retaining his direct mandate.
