Michael Marra is a Scottish Labour politician who has served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for North East Scotland since 2021. Before entering the Scottish Parliament, he worked for Oxfam and the University of Dundee, and served as a local councillor in Dundee. A self-described member of Labour's "soft left," Marra has held shadow cabinet roles including Education and Skills and Finance. He is also known for his advocacy work, particularly his campaign to have Alzheimer's disease in former footballers recognized as an industrial disease.
