Michael Rohl

Michael H. Rohl is an American politician serving as a member of the South Dakota Senate representing the 1st district. Elected in November 2020 and assuming office in January 2021, he is a small business owner by profession. Rohl is recognized for his legislative work on the Senate Judiciary, Health and Human Services, and State Affairs committees, and serves as the Senate Chair of the State Tribal Relations Committee. He is notably known for his advocacy in marijuana reform, including his efforts to protect medical marijuana programs and his sponsorship of legislation to legalize recreational cannabis.
