Michel Bonnus

Michel Bonnus is a French politician and former professional rugby player who has served as a Senator for the Var department since 2020. Before entering national politics, he held various local offices in Toulon, including serving as a municipal councilor and deputy mayor, and was a member of the Var Departmental Council. A member of The Republicans, he has been active in economic affairs and public policy, notably contributing to government discussions on pandemic-related business protocols. In 2026, he ran as a candidate for mayor of Toulon.
