Michel Malherbe is a Luxembourgish politician and former athlete who has served as the Mayor of Mersch since February 1, 2016. A member of the Democratic Party (DP), he previously served on the Mersch municipal council starting in 1996 and as an alderman from 2009. Before his political career, he worked as a sales director and served as a consultant for a petroleum company. In his youth, he was a multiple-time national judo champion. As mayor, he has been involved in local initiatives, including discussions regarding the official designation of Mersch as a city.
