Mika Poutala

Mika Poutala is a Finnish politician and former professional speed skater who currently serves as the Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity in the Orpo cabinet. Elected to the Parliament of Finland in 2023, he also holds a seat on the Espoo City Council. Before entering politics, Poutala was a world-class athlete who competed in four Winter Olympics and held multiple Finnish speed skating records. As a politician, he is affiliated with the Christian Democrats and focuses on youth policy, physical activity, and athlete welfare.
