Mike Amyx

Mike Amyx is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives for the 45th district, a position he has held since 2019. Before his election to the state legislature, Amyx had a long and distinguished career in local government, serving six terms as the mayor of Lawrence, Kansas, between 1985 and 2017. Additionally, he served a four-year term as a Douglas County Commissioner. Throughout his career, he has focused on local governance, budget management, and higher education funding.
