Elected in the 2023 Manitoba general election, he represents the New Democratic Party of Manitoba and currently serves as the Minister of Environment and Climate Change. Prior to his legislative career, Moyes worked as a teacher at Glenlawn Collegiate. He previously held roles as an NDP Caucus Chair and as a legislative assistant, and he successfully defeated a Progressive Conservative cabinet minister to secure his seat in the assembly.
