Mike Porfirio is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Illinois Senate for the 11th district. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served six years of active duty and continues to serve as a Commander in the United States Navy Reserve. Porfirio holds graduate degrees from Purdue University and the University of Illinois Chicago. He was elected to the Illinois Senate in 2022, defeating his opponent with over 66% of the vote, and currently represents a district that includes several Chicago neighborhoods and surrounding suburbs.
