Mike Storey is a British Liberal Democrat politician and life peer who currently serves as a member of the House of Lords. A former primary school teacher and headteacher, he has had a long career in local government, notably serving as the leader of Liverpool City Council from 1998 to 2005 and as the Lord Mayor of Liverpool from 2009 to 2010. Throughout his career, he has focused heavily on education policy, social mobility, and urban regeneration. He was appointed a CBE in 2002 for his services to regeneration.
