石田實

Minoru Ishida is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Niimi City in Okayama Prefecture. Born in Niimi in 1956, he previously worked as the president of a petroleum sales company before entering local politics. He was first elected to the Niimi City Council in 2013 and served as the council chairman in 2022. In November 2024, he won the mayoral election, focusing his platform on addressing population decline, revitalizing public transportation, and promoting health and welfare initiatives in collaboration with local institutions. He assumed office in December 2024 with a commitment to sustainable, citizen-focused urban development.
